ECWA Development Finance Scheme Unveiled

The ECWA Headquarters has unveiled a new scheme known as ECWA Finance Development Scheme, EDFS, for its Departments, Companies, agencies and its members.
Unveiling the scheme recently at the ECWA headquarters in Jos, ECWA President. Rev Dr. Jeremiah Malankaltho Gado described the scheme as another milestone in the history of the Church aimed at fulfilling the four point agenda of the present ECWA leadership.
He added that the ECWA Executive is determined to shift its over reliance on local Churches for funding hence effort are being made to see that Churches at the grassroots are also given back what is obtainable at the top, as according to him, ECWA has graduated from asking its members to contribute for one project or the other, adding that the Church is putting in place new initiatives were both members and the Church will benefit from.
He assured ECWA members of the credibility of the scheme. He said, “ It will interest everyone to know that ECWA have test run the scheme for the past one year, and this has proven to be very positive and promising’’.
The ECWA President added that with the caliber of ECWA sons and daughters as members of the Board of Trustees of the scheme, the ECWA Executive is optimistic that the scheme will succeed, and therefore urged every DCC, LCC and other arms of the Church to key into the project.

Also contributing, ECWA Treasurer, Dr. Kalu Umeh reiterated that the current ECWA leadership is working tirelessly in ensuring that members of the Church have a trusted venture which they can use to create wealth for themselves and the Church, according to him, his coming on board as a member of the ECWA executive is an opportunity for him to bring to bear his financial expertise to move ECWA to the next level of doing godly businesses, and to also increase the revenue base of the organization.
According to him, ECWA is not only concerned with the spiritual wellbeing of its members, it is also concern about how to improve on the physical wellbeing of its members across the world.
Dr. Umeh added that having gone round some states in the federation and seen some landed properties owned by ECWA and located in strategic places, it is obvious that the scheme will not fail as according to him, ECWA has all it takes for the scheme to succeed.
He said, `It is high time for ECWA and its members to differentiate between sacrifice, service and voluntary contributions and their likes so that we can participate in the process of investment and development as a dimension to the eternal gain’’.
He then called on ECWA members to contribute their best particularly their finances to move the scheme to its greater height.

Earlier, Chairman Board of Trustees, EDFSL, Rev. Dr. Ezekiel Oluwatoyin Adeleye, thanked ECWA for initiating such a scheme, and finding them worthy to serve on the Board. Speaking on how the scheme will operate, Rev. Dr. Adeleye described the scheme as a reputable development finance company which will mobilize resources for the development of ECWA to fulfill its mandate.
The Chairman further revealed that the scheme is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, and its authorized Share Capital stands at One billion naira divided made up of One billion Ordinary Shares of N1.00 each of which Two Hundred and Fifty Million Ordinary Shares at N1.00 each is Paid Up.
He disclosed that application list opens from Monday 7th March 2016, and closes on Friday 1st July 2016 adding that the offer is open to only ECWA members’ and payable in full on application, with a minimum purchase 0f 50.000 Unit of Shares for all.
He then called on all ECWA members to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the scheme to better their lives by investing their resources in Investment where credibility and godliness is strongly adhere to, adding that with the rush by the various arms of ECWA including sons and daughters of ECWA into the scheme, the One Billion naira target is near realization.
