The ECWA leadership recently commissioned a new guest house block of 36 rooms, 2 suites, 1 mini-board room equipped with other state of the earth facilities.

Performing the formal dedication of the edifice at the premises of ECWA Guest House in Jos, President of the Church, Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Gado said the essence of building the edifice is for the purpose of advancing the cause of the church.

“This project is to meet one of our four point agenda, to mobilize resources that will help reposition ECWA to powerfully proclaim the gospel to mankind”.

The cleric who was full of gratitude to God for the actualization of one of the agenda of the current leadership said the need for the guest house of this nature is due to the increasing number of events that take place within the church and the need to cut down cost and equally serve as a means of generating income for the church.

In her welcome address, Coordinator of ECWA Guest Houses, Mrs. Rhoda Omidiji who is also the Chairperson of the building committee, attributed the successful execution of the project to what she described as “the visionary leadership of the current ECWA executives”.

Mrs. Omidiji who expressed gratitude to God for the completion of the project said “It is no longer a proposed building, it is real: the building is here completed; the ECWA Headquarters Guest house of our dream, glory to be to God Almighty”

In a brief exhortation, ECWA General Secretary, Rev. Prof. Samuel Kunhiyop who drew scripture lessons from the creation story in Genesis 1:1 asserted that God created everything and declared it beautiful and man is required to maintain the beauty of God’s creation.

The cleric who decried the poor maintenance culture in the society however tasked the management and staff of the Guest house to imbibe good maintenance culture to ensure that the beauty of the edifice is sustained.

“God created everything for His use and the glory of His name. I call on the management to do all they can to ensure that the facilities are used to the glory of God”.

There were goodwill messages from representative of the ECWA Board of Trustees as well as the ECWA Director of Finance who was represented at the event the Audit Director, Mr. Solomon Edokpa.

Highpoint of the event was the cutting of the tape to symbolize the formal opening for used by the public.

The ECWA executives, ECWA Trustees, DCC Chairmen, Secretaries and dignitaries were later taken round the rooms and the facilities by the Estate Manager of ECWA Headquarters, Mr. Edward Pate.
