We’re Carrying out Essential Services to Meet up with Public Demands-Lands Commissioner
Following the ease of lockdown with additional one day, the Plateau State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning has announced that the ministry is opened for essential services to meet up the demands of the general public.
In a statement on Wednesday, Commissioner of Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Hon. Yakubu Dati disclosed that those on appointment for payment purposes should visit the ministry on Thursday and Friday between 10.00am and 2.00pm in accordance with the set protocols of COVID 19.
The statement reads, “The Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning is carrying out essential services to meet up with demands of the public.
Those on appointment for payment purposes are advised to visit the ministry on Thursday and Friday between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm in accordance with the set protocols of COVID 19.”
While encouraging members of the public to strictly adhere to laid down procedures in the acquisition and development of their land titles, the statement urged members of the public to call the following phone number 09098634499 for appointment and inquiries.
It would be recalled that Governor Lalong on Sunday during an update on the covid-19 pandemic, announced a further review on the pattern of the lockdown.
The governor while addressing newsmen at the Government House, Little Rayfield, said: “In order to address these concerns and further strengthen our efforts at combating COVID-19, Government has reviewed some of the guidelines with the following decisions:
“With effect from 17th May 2020, the total lockdown will resume from midnight of ‘every Sunday and be relaxed on Wednesdays 12 midnight.
“This will henceforth be the pattern until further review. In order words, the total lockdown is relaxed on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; while Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays remain totally locked down.”
