While thanking the State Government for approving the remodeling of its Secretariat describing it as the first of its kind in a long time in Plateau adding that the remodeling of the secretariat would no doubt provide a decent environment for the members of the pen profession.

The Union however, appealed to the State Government to see to the completion of the work in view of the rainy season.

“However, work had since stopped on the project. The Council is appealing that as government strategizes on how to reopen the economy, consideration should be given to the completion of the NUJ secretariat as journalists are displaced and cannot function well in this rainy season.”
